Del Mar Optometric, or DMO, is a full-service eye and vision care practice that caters to comprehensive eye care as well as ocular emergencies. Patients throughout the north county area come to Del Mar Optometric because they know they will receive the personal attention and professional care that has become our foundation. Our team is dedicated to keeping all patients feeling comfortable and educated throughout their visit.
At DMO, our goal is to make sure every patient leaves satisfied with the care they’ve received. We understand the importance of maintaining eye health and, perhaps more importantly, how that relates to overall health. We work with specialists, including primary care physicians, to ensure you are receiving the best possible care.
1979: Del Mar Optometric is Founded
Del Mar Optometric was founded by Dr. Gregory Graham. His philosophy was centered on a one-to-one approach which allowed the patient to be included in the care they received. This approach laid the foundation for him to thrive for the next 43 years serving the north county communities.
2004: Dr. Graham as a Mentor
Andrew Fasciani begins working as an intern at the practice. He is the first of eight future optometrists to rotate through DMO.
2010: Dr. Fasciani Graduates, Joins DMO
Dr. Andrew Fasciani graduates from SCCO (same graduate school as Dr. Graham) and joins Del Mar Optometric. His patient-based approach mirrors that of his mentor and they quickly begin growing the practice, drawing patients from all over San Diego.
2021: Dr. Graham retires! And Dr. Dexter joins the team!
After a fantastic career as a leading eye care provider in Del Mar, Dr. Graham finally retires and has spent most of his time in Maui since. Dr. Fasciani and Dr. Dexter, a former classmate and still close friend of Dr. Fasciani’s, purchase the practice. They are
dedicated and highly motivated to carry out the legacy and principles from which DMO was founded.
